City of Del Mar – Undergrounding Utility Project

KCM Group is the project and program manager working in conjunction with a project consultant team including a utility specialist and civil engineering firm, overseeing the multi-phase Undergrounding Project that will remove unsightly utility poles and overhead power and telecommunication cables, and relocate them underground.

KCM Group is managing the civil design process (including the survey and mapping process to begin concept design), coordinated with homeowners within the Districts on service lateral undergrounding, and prepared the project specifications and public bid documents.

KCM Group has managed the construction phase of the first District of this 10-15 year project.

KCM Group has worked closely with the City of Del Mar staff, council and the committees, providing regular reports to these stakeholders as well as hosting public meetings to share information about the process.
