Gordon Kovtun founded KCM Group in 2000 on the strength of his versatile work as a sole practitioner representing Southern California owners. Since then, he has expanded the company’s capabilities to serve residential, commercial and institutional clients— both large and small. Kovtun developed KCM Group’s culture of quality service and client satisfaction and built a dynamic team of dedicated professionals. Along the way, he led the company toward high-profile construction management and consulting projects involving prominent businesses and organizations.
Gordon has more than 25 years of experience in various construction-related arenas. He maintains an active leadership role in each project and relishes opportunities to monitor project progress, mentor project owners, assist with budgeting and accounting matters, and manage scheduling and timing issues—he is involved from the start of pre-construction through the closeout process.
Gordon earned a Master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Southern California and holds licensure for both general building and general engineering disciplines. He is active in the San Diego community, serving as treasurer for both the San Diego Museum of Man and the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center. Additionally, Gordon has served as chairman of the Facilities Committee for the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center. In 2004, Gordon was appointed the consul to Norway for San Diego County.

Tony Norton is Chief Operating Officer of KCM Group. As COO, Tony is active in all aspects of the firm, including the financial management and performance of all client projects, client management and relations, staff training and development, hiring and recruiting programs, strategic planning and business development, IT planning and operations, and the overall financial health and advancement of the organization.
Tony joined KCM Group in 2013 and has over 20 years of experience as a business and transactional lawyer. Prior to joining KCM Group, Tony served as legal counsel to the Native American community highlighted by the strategic planning and stewardship adding over 1,700-acres to tribal reservations through the Federal regulatory process.
Originally from Winnipeg, Canada, Tony graduated from the University of Manitoba with a degree in economics followed by a law degree from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego. Tony is licensed to practice law in the State of California and is a licensed California Real Estate Broker.

Bridget began her career with KCM Group after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in Construction Management, from Michigan State University. Bridget has more than ten years of experience as a lead Project Manager.
She has managed all aspects of design and construction on road and underground utility projects, infrastructure development and construction, and reconstruction of commercial and residential properties. She is proficient in project accounting, contract administration, contractor quality control, estimating, scheduling, and serving as a liaison between owner and contractor. Her experience has been fast-paced and broad in scope and has demonstrated her ability to multi-task and handle new challenges.

Chris joined KCM Group in 2012 bringing 11 years of experience in multiple areas of construction project management. Graduating from Northeastern University in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in Geology, Chris has spent more than a decade managing commercial, residential, multifamily, hotel and gaming projects.
He has a unique perspective in construction and land development having worked in collaboration with general contractors, owners, developers, designers and consultants. His diverse experience allows him to see projects from different perspectives which are essential when managing complex and distressed projects. As a Senior Project manager at KCM Group, Chris has worked as owner’s representative providing expertise in land development, specialty consulting services, project estimating and scheduling. He is an active member in the Urban Land Institute and currently pursuing his LEED certification.

John joined KCM Group after many years of experience in the construction industry in Arkansas, Nevada, and California. He has more than 15 years field experience in local and major infrastructure including underground utilities and road work projects, vertical construction of both residential and commercial projects, commercial and residential pools, landscape construction, and bond exoneration.
John also has more than five years of project management experience taking various projects from inception of conceptual design through permitting and construction to eventual turnover to the Client. John is proficient in project accounting, contractor quality assurance, scheduling, estimating, and acting in the role of liaison between owner and contractor.

Ryan has more than 12 years experience managing complex and technical construction as an Owner’s Representative within occupied environments: including multifamily, office/commercial, Civic, and Tribal government sectors. He has a tremendous knowledge of Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, Lump Sum, and GMP delivery methods.
Ryan excels at understanding project priorities, client goals, and deadlines and is responsive and thoughtful leader of management teams. He is known as being very adaptable and capable of working concurrently on multiple projects while maintaining strong client relations and priorities to achieve a successful project implementation.
Ryan is skilled at managing project teams including consultants, architects, engineers, and contractors, from execution of the project and close-out. Ryan has vast experience in navigating jurisdictional matters related to permitting.

Kymberli Clement is a project manager with over 20 years of experience in the construction industry serving as an Owner’s Representative, Project Manager for a developer and as an Owner’s Representative, Project Manager for a local construction management firm. She graduated from California State University, San Marcos with a Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts.
Over her career, Kymberli has successfully completed commercial projects ranging from office TI to new construction of restaurants, and offices, and residential projects including several multi-family/mixed use projects. Kymberli is known in the industry for her project management proficiency and efficiency by providing clear and constant communication and effectively managing the expectations of project stakeholders.
Kymberli believes in being firm, but fair and achieves the expected results for our clients by fostering a collaborative environment.

Miguel Renteria is a licensed architect and seasoned project manager with over 20 years of experience in the construction industry serving as an Owner’s Representative and Design Manager for private and public works projects. He graduated from Columbia University in New York with a Master of Science in Real Estate Development and a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the University of Guadalajara.
Miguel’s project experience includes commercial and public/educational facility construction with complete oversight for coordinating complex projects with construction values of up to $400M.
Miguel is well versed in risk management and risk mitigation, using his design and project management experience to anticipate potential issues early in a project to minimize the client’s risk.

Ryan Owsiany has over 6 years of experience as an Owner’s Representative managing development and tenant improvement projects from inception to close out. He is skilled at guiding design, construction drawing creation, entitlement, permitting, estimating, and scheduling. Ryan is respected for his ability to work cohesively with all stakeholders and to provide effective solutions to construction problems in the field so that the projects stay on budget and schedule and are closed out successfully.
Ryan’s project experience includes commercial, residential, retail, and the Life Science sectors.

Dana comes to KCM Group with nearly 20 years of administration experience in the construction industry. Her expertise in and knowledge of all aspects of office management, accounting, payroll administration, contract development, and human resources, will be instrumental to KCM’s efficient operations.

James attended National University School of Engineering where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management. He is knowledgeable in the principles of cost estimating, scheduling, contract administration, and change order review and management. His ability to accurately read plans and specifications allows him to generate and provide quality quantity take-offs, cost estimates, cost of construction, and cost analysis to clients in support of project design. He prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. He maintains files of working construction documents as back-up for estimates, including current information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, brochures, price lists, etc.
He efficiently and effectively handles multiple projects and shifting priorities while creating a positive environment and relationship with clients and owners.
