Meet the Staff  
 
Gordon Kovtun – Principal  
KCM Group, Inc. was founded in 2000 by its principal, Gordon Kovtun. After creating and executing the concept for KCM Group, Inc., Gordon successfully developed a professional construction management and consulting firm with a team of professionals dedicated to their field. This concept resulted in a quality firm with an eye toward the service and satisfaction of its clients thereby earning KCM the privilege of serving some of the most prominent business
leaders and organizations with their construction management and consulting needs.
Gordon has earned the respect of his colleagues and within the community utilizing over 20 years experience in various construction and construction management arenas.  By maintaining an active leadership role in each project, Gordon is able to monitor project progress, mentor project owners, assist with necessary budgeting and accounting matters, manage scheduling and timing issues, as well as many other tasks from the start of pre-construction through the closeout process.  Gordon personally handles forensic consulting projects and applies his knowledge of the industry and other resources to fulfill a variety of needs in the consulting industry.  Gordon holds a masters degree in civil engineering and holds licensure for both general building and general engineering disciplines.

Steve Kiss – Senior Project Manager  
Steve Kiss joined KCM Group in late 2000 bringing over 20 years experience to the KCM family. Steve has participated in the design and development of large industrial and commercial properties and holds a bachelors degree in architecture and an active architectural license from the State of California. Since joining KCM Group, Steve has successfully managed numerous high end residential home and real estate projects by coordinating the construction team and working with municipal agencies on a variety of issues. Steve has also been directly involved in forensic investigations utilizing his architectural and analytical skills to determine resultant damage liability.

Bridget Black – Project Manager  
Bridget Black relocated to San Diego in 2004 and joined the KCM team. Since graduating from Michigan State University in 2001 with a degree in Civil Engineering. Bridget has been involved in construction management projects that include underground utility, high rise reconstruction projects and custom homes. Bridget’s knowledge of project accounting, contract administration, quality control, estimating, scheduling and various other construction management tasks all lend to her talent as a liaison between owner and contractor.

Carlos Oliver – Project Manager  
Carlos Oliver brings over 16 years experience to KCM Group. Carlos has actively managed tract home development and commercial properties. His years in the construction field and progression into management prepared him for his role at KCM where he handles project accounting matters, cost estimating, contract administration and other aspects of the construction management process. Carlos holds a Bachelor of Science from University of California San Diego.

Bethanie Black – Project Coordinator / Receptionist  
Bethanie Black relocated to San Diego in 2005 and joined KCM Group as a Project Coordinator. Bethanie assists project managers in various construction management tasks which include project accounting, estimating, scheduling and contract administration. Bethanie holds a Bachelors degree in Visual Communications.
